Great Lakes Community Resources Incorporated (“the Association”) is a not-for-profit community development organisation. The Association incorporated in 1987, and become the local SkillShare in 1989. It has vigorously pursued its human resource and community development aims by drawing on government, industry and the community to provide services, programs and enterprises to enable people, particularly the disadvantaged, to develop social and economic livelihoods for themselves. The programs and services delivered by the Association aim to meet identified needs in the community. The enterprises provide employment and on-the-job training to the Association’s target groups, provide enterprise experience and resources to the Association and demonstrate the skills and abilities of the Association’s target groups, to the community.
