Anglicare, in response to the Christian faith, exists to achieve social justice and to provide the opportunities for people in need to reach fullness of life, within Anglicare's resources.

Anglicare operates a range of programs to address structural injustice and meet the needs of people living in poverty and disadvantage. 

We provide emergency accommodation and financial relief to families in crisis.  We work with individuals and families to help them cope with a range of pressures, including homelessness, drug and alcohol problems and family conflict.  We provide training and support to young people with regard to education, skill development, employment, housing and financial issues.  We help parents with young children to ensure that those children have the best start in life possible.  We provide ongoing care and support to people with disabilities and people with mental illnesses.  We conduct research into poverty and engage in social advocacy on behalf of Tasmanians on low incomes.
