Programs and Services

Job Futures has been selected, through a competitive tendering process, to deliver these programs under contract to the Australian Government.

Job Futures members work directly with job seekers accessing these programs to make sure that all training, work preparation, skill development and job placements are tailored to the needs of each job seeker, as well as meeting local employer needs and labour market demand.

Our members have developed strong employer networks to ensure ongoing employment opportunities for our job seekers across all programs.

JOB SERVICES AUSTRALIA (JSA)

Job Futures is one of the largest providers of JSA across Australia.  JSA provides a range of services to help unemployed people, particularly disadvantaged job seekers, find meaningful work. Our members' relationship with the communities they work in means that services can be delivered in a targeted and effective way to address both vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment, giving job seekers the opportunity to develop their skills and a better chance to find meaningful work.

DISABILTY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES (DES)

Through DES we give specialist assistance to job seekers with disabilities who require support to find and maintain employment. DES providers promote their job seekers to employers and provide ongoing support in the workplace until the job seeker is comfortable and confident in the job.

The AUSTRALIAN APPRENTICESHIPS ACCESS PROGRAM (ACCESS)

The Access Program gives job seekers pre-vocational training, support and assistance in getting, and keeping, an Australian Apprenticeship (includes apprenticeships and traineeships). Apprenticeships give people the opportunity to both work and learn, developing skills to ensure sustainable skilled employment. ACCESS providers liaise with local employers to source apprenticeship opportunities and tailor the training to meet employer needs.

NATIONAL GREEN JOBS CORPS

The 26-week environmental training program offers young people, aged 17-24 years, the right combination of work experience, skill development and accredited training to ensure they are ready for employment in emerging green and climate change industries. Participants are referred to the program through their JSA Provider or Centrelink. Job Futures members deliver National Green Jobs Corps in Western Australia, Victoria, NSW and Queensland. Contact your local Job Futures member or ring 1800 077 700 for more details. http://www.greenfutures.com.au

Note: not all Job Futures members deliver all the above programs. However they are able to refer job seekers to relevant services.

In addition to programs delivered through Job Futures, our member organisations also deliver a range of other employment and training services.
