Programmes
Job Futures has been selected, through a competitive tendering process, to deliver these programmes under contract to the relevant Australian or State Government or Authority.
Job Futures members work directly with job-seekers accessing these programmes to make sure that all training, work preparation, skill development and job placements give participants the outcomes they want and meet the programme objectives.
Job Network
Job Futures is one of Australia’s largest providers of Job Network. Job Network provides a range of services to help unemployed people, particularly the long-term unemployed, find meaningful work. Our members’ relationship the communities they work in mean that services can be delivered in a targeted and effective way to give job-seekers a better chance to find meaningful work.
ACCESS
The Australian Apprenticeships Access Programme gives job seekers pre-vocational training, support and assistance in getting, and keeping, an Australian Apprenticeship/Traineeship. Job Futures ACCESS providers know the local employment requirements and work with job seekers to find them the right apprenticeship.
JPET
The Job Placement, Employment and Training Programme helps students and unemployed young people aged 15-21 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Our members across the network have considerable experience in dealing with young people at risk, and are committed to the role of young people in maintaining sustainable communities.
PSP
People who are eligible for the Personal Support Programme face considerable obstacles as they search for employment, educational or training opportunities. These barriers may be issues like addiction, psychological problems, abuse or homelessness. We work with Personal Support Programme participants to find solutions to the problems making it hard for them to find fulfilling employment opportunities.
DEN
As a provider of the Disability Employment Network, we give specialist assistance to job seekers with disabilities who require ongoing support to find and maintain employment.
Correctional Services Employment Program for Men
Ex-offenders are amongst the most disadvantaged groups when it comes to finding and keep meaningful work. This programme helps prisoners to get job-ready by giving them access to education and vocational training. Prisoners are also given support with job seeking after their release.
QLD Mentoring programme
A Queensland-wide programme for young people who are at risk of disengaging from school. The programme, which we’ve been delivering since 2004, works because of our members’ commitment to young people across Queensland and Australia.
IYEC
The Indigenous Youth Employment Consultants Programme provides support and encouragement for Indigenous young people aged 15 to 19 to stay in education or move into training and/or work. The programme is for Indigenous young people who aren’t going to school and want to continue with their education and training but would benefit from extra support, or who want to join the workforce.
Green Corps
Green Corps is an Australian Government initiative which gives young people the chance to get six months paid work experience and training on environmental and cultural heritage projects. We deliver Green Corps in NSW, ACT, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Participants learn worthwhile work and life skills that can put them on the pathway to employment and education. We support participants in a number of ways on the programme, including help with a disability, or literacy and language difficulties.
